Non-appearance in Emission Testing, Short-term Gain, Long-term Suffering

BE A VEHICLE OWNER WITH A CONSCIENCE

We appeal to motor vehicle owners to be responsible. Motor vehicles, especially those that are fossil-fueled by gasoline and diesel, burn and expel carbon and soot out of the exhaust pipe, spreading this pollution into the environment. Vehicle ownership and use, whether for personal convenience or for business, contribute to air pollution, risking people’s health and public safety.

Carbon emissions increase global warming and lead to climate change. Soot PM2.5 causes lung and heart diseases, vascular disorders, and possibly contributes to disorders like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Soot PM2.5 tends to rise with the air and particularly settles visibly on high-rise buildings’ furniture and window sills.

POLLUTION slowly wrecks life. It slowly kills. A responsible vehicle owner will never, in his or her conscience, allow vehicle use to cause harmful pollution that affects friends, neighbors, and family.

To stop the increasing threat to health and safety, proper EMISSION TESTING was designed to ensure all motor vehicles are compliant with emission standards, not exceeding the limits that cause harmful effects. Conscientious owners are expected to religiously maintain their motor vehicles to achieve fuel efficiency and, therefore, be less polluting.

NON-APPEARANCE kills people and destroys the environment. Do not participate in NON-APPEARANCE for a short, convenient gain. For the safety of your family, have your vehicle checked and tested at an emission center.

REPORTING INCIDENTS OF NON-APPEARANCE can be your best contribution to gaining your right to breathe clean air. REPORT N.A. on this website. Click the link to fill out the report. Your identity will remain forever confidential. https://petcoa.org/contact-us/
